N4 vocabulary

N4 is where vocabulary stops being concrete: 用意 (preparations), 都合 (convenience), 遠慮 (restraint). Many words are two-kanji compounds read with the Chinese (on) reading and can be deduced if you know the pieces: 会社 company (meeting + firm), 社会 society (the same two reversed). Watch the する verbs, which turn a noun into an action with nothing else: 勉強する, 用意する, 説明する. And learn together the pairs that would be one verb in English: 借りる (to borrow) and 貸す (to lend).
