AstraMentisA daily serving of things worth knowing, at your level.
In beta: free, with everything open, until the end of the year.
One feed, one gesture.
Chess · Science · Languages · Art · Readings
A chess puzzle, a query you write and run, a Japanese sentence, a fraction, a short story, an open recording, a poem. Each card comes at your level and moves with your answers.
Pick 5 topics, answer 6 cards. No account until the end. Or create your account right away.
How it works
- Levels, not streaks. Every skill has a rating that starts at 1,200 and moves with each answer; cards are picked so you get about three in four right.
- Ladders. Skills open when the one before is mastered and close when you outgrow them, so the feed always has something to teach.
- Readings between exercises. Stories and poems in the public domain, open recordings. They never count against anything.
- Works offline and keeps to itself. The phone keeps the next cards; no trackers, no ads, no AI keys; your data exports and deletes in one tap.
16 areas
The ring is the area; the disc inside it fills as you climb. It is the same node you see on the map.

21 days open, then a subscription
Everything is open for your first 21 days. After that, what belongs to everyone (tracing kana and kanji, listening, the body that turns) stays free forever, and the rest needs a subscription: €6.99 a month or €49.99 a year, charged by card through Stripe and cancellable from your profile at any time. It unlocks nothing — there are no paid features, no ads and no levels. It keeps the app open, and that is why we call the people who pay for it patrons.
If you are a student, or you need a bit of a break, there is a lower price. You choose it yourself when you pay: nothing is checked and there is nothing to prove.
What we do not do
No ads, no tracking, no third-party scripts, no advertising identifiers. Nothing about you is sold or shared. Everything AstraMentis borrows —chess puzzles, classical recordings, public-domain texts— is listed with its exact licence on the credits page.
