N3 vocabulary

At N3 the language of newspapers and offices appears: 影響 (influence), 状況 (situation), 判断 (judgement). A translation is no longer enough here: almost every word carries a register. 見る, 拝見する and ご覧になる all mean “to see”, but the second lowers you and the third raises the other person. And the adverbs that organise a text arrive — つまり (that is), ただし (that said), したがって (therefore) — which are what separate understanding sentences from understanding paragraphs.
