The revision rung: three events at once, from different places, and you have to say which century they share. You do not answer it by remembering a date but by putting three things on the same shelf, which is what knowing history actually means. A century runs from 01 to the following 00, so 1789 and 1799 belong to the same one and 1800 and 1801 do not.

Why Galileo sees the moons of Jupiter, 1610. Building starts on the Taj Mahal, 1632. Newton publishes the Principia, 1687. All three from the XVII century, which runs from 1601 to 1700. Four dots going round Jupiter, and therefore something not going round the Earth. He published it two months after seeing it.
